VR Solutions at SIMTECT 2007 “Simulation – Improving Capability and Competitiveness”

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre hosted the annual SIMTECT 2007 Simulation Conference and Exhibition whose theme for the year was “Simulation -  Improving Capability and Competitiveness”  VR Solutions representative Gary Eves and Alisdair Paterson both presented papers.  Gary gave a comprehensive outline on “Visualisation Systems: How and When to use them” and headed a panel on combining different services and technologies to complement the overall simulation processes, while Alisdair Paterson focussed on the future of display systems to come. 

VR Solutions received a commendation from the Hon. Minister for State Development John Mickel regarding the recent grant for the UAV project, of which further details can be found here. 

VR Solutions showcased some of this years hot technology including New Zealand’s K2Vi GIS Multi-layering software suite, Christie Digital’s Multi Channel Projector Auto Alignment system, the direct from Christie Development Laboratories new HD6 projector which can do pure HD 1920 x 1080p @ 120Hz for unmatched stereoscopic viewing at a punchy 6000 Lumens.  VR Solutions unveiled our own 160 degree cylindrical 2-channel Immersion Room Demo Centre at VR Solutions Headquarters.  If you climbed aboard the bus and made the short journey back to our office, we thank-you for coming by to see our capabilities and presentations and we hope you enjoyed the show.  We are looking forward to joining the delegates and sponsors again next year for another successful conference.
